TORONTO -- The Canadian Football League announced today the appointment of Sara Moore to the role of Vice-President, Marketing.

An accomplished marketing executive with a track record as a proven brand builder, Moore brings to the league a wealth of experience gained in leading positions at Mobilicity, Yahoo! Canada, Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting, and Rogers Wireless.

“We’re thrilled to welcome such a dynamic individual to the CFL at what is a very exciting time for our league and our brand,” said Commissioner Mark Cohon.

“As we look forward to an important milestone, the One Hundredth Grey Cup game in 2012, our business is poised to accelerate its growth across the country.  Sara has the expertise and energy we need to ensure we seize the many opportunities before us.”

As Vice President, Marketing, Ms. Moore will serve as a member of the CFL’s executive management team and will contribute to league strategic planning and the management of business operating issues.  She will be responsible for the development, execution and evaluation of league marketing programs, and will lead its marketing initiatives in research, creative development, advertising, and all other forms of internal and external marketing communications across all platforms.

She will assumes her new role today, October 19, 2011.

Ms. Moore is a graduate of Queen’s University.
